Brenda Kirby Racing

I grew up competitive dancing until I was 14 years old. Once my time freed up I started going to every single race with my dad who raced Super Late Models all across the West Coast. I have always loved racing and going to the races with my dad but dance took up a lot of my time growing up. I remember getting home from a dance competition late at night and reminding my mom that we could still make it to the my dads race, hopefully in time for the main event. It took me a while to convince my parents that I wanted to race but once I had the chance to drive my cousins modified at an open practice I was hooked and knew this is what I wanted to do.

I officially started racing northern sport mods in California when I was 16 years old. My first year I learned a lot but my second year is when we upgraded cars and started to travel around California. I earned my first win at Santa Maria Speedway my second season racing. It was an extremely special win for me and I had a lot of my family there to celebrate afterwards. I earned a few more wins in the sport mod class before moving up to modifieds when my family and I moved to Arizona. I have been fortunate enough to win 5 more races in Arizona and 1 in Texas. I was the first female to win a modified race in Texas and the first female to win in a Lethal chassis. I am extremely proud to be the first but I want to win more races and be one of the best drivers, not just a female driver.

My goals have always been to travel around the United States and learn as much as I can. I have been blessed with amazing sponsors who help me achieve that every single year. I am hopeful to be able to have more opportunities once I start my own business. I am working on obtaining my tax license and starting my own income tax business; Empire Income Tax. With my business I will be able to travel and work from anywhere which will be helpful to race around the United States.

I could not be where I am without my dad. He has taught me everything I know about racing and has been one of my biggest supporters. My mom and sister go to majority of my races and help with whatever they can at the track. I am very thankful to Chris Morris, my fiance, and my future in-laws for letting me drive his second modified when I am visiting in Texas. Dave Spears with South Bay Appliance has been with me since day 1 and always supports my racing dreams no matter how big they are. Charles Davis with C&R Machine and Black Magic Bead Breaker is one of the best and most humble guys you will ever meet at the races. He builds quality parts and machines that I use constantly for my racing program. Jim Kirby with L.A. Prep use to sponsor my dad when he raced sprint cars and continues his support for motorsports through my racing program. He shows up to races and always asks how he can help out whether it is right there at the track or in the future for parts or equipment I may need. Brad Whitfield with Cocopah Speedway and Central Arizona Raceway is one of the best promoters in the United States. His facilities are well kept and constantly being improved for the fans and racers. His tracks are always smooth, fast and create great races for the fans and drivers.Â
